Who Am I?

I’d like to say I’m wise
My age suggests some wit,
But when I seek the prize
The words do not quite fit.
A relatively deep thinker
Whose mind stumbles about
And likes to ponder
But not to pout.

My Muse is in hiding, but we cross paths from time to time. I think I gave the old guy too much grief. Maybe he quit without notice.
